StillpointEngage connects Neuroscience, Resilience Theory and Depth-Psychology to strengthen and sustain Humanitarian Aid Workers, First Responders and underserved communities.
Fable Studio is working with Orlando and StillpointEngage to build a series of videos for their Resilience Engage (RE) program. The aim is to provide a resource and support for people who are exposed to trauma, and physical, emotional or mental stress, all of which compounds and leads to burnout, breakdowns or simply just expend the empathy needed to sustain lives lived in service to humanity.
THE CHALLENGE
During these extreme times, our first responders and humanitarian aid workers are taking on the unpredictability of this new reality with more demand and fewer resources.
The ever-rising expectations and wear and tear of repeated exposure to high stress and traumatic events are taking a toll on them.

THE SOLUTION
Resilience is one's ability to bounce back in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress.
The ResiliencEngage™ PROGRAM (RE) offers integrated support to help train and enhance the ability of global humanitarian aid workers and local first responders to remain resilient.
The creative brief allocated a shape, colour and texture for each of the 4 videos we were going to produce. The focus was to create minimalist forms from these base elements that would define each concept while staying within a universal language – Harsh angular shapes for trauma and stress / rounded, flowing forms for resilience and hope.
The videos are aimed a wide span of people across a broad scope of environments. We initially worked with more traditional characters but they felt too specific or recognisable and as a result excluded all the very many people who didn't look like that and the concern was that this would make the characters less accessible and less relatable.

The result is a cast of characters that are little more than the primary shapes, texture and simple accessories to identify their field of work.
